Warm up with this hearty and healthy Venison Chili, perfect for a cold day! Packed with protein and rich flavors, it’s sure to become a favorite in your household.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground venison (or ground protein of choice)
- 1 medium sweet onion, diced
- 1 large green bell pepper, diced
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce (14.5/16 oz)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5/16 oz)
- 2 cans kidney beans in chili sauce
- 1 can white beans
- 1.5 cups bone broth (I used F Bomb Cajun Beef)
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 3 tbsp OUR Original Red seasoning
- 2 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp ground coriander
Toppings:
- Sour cream
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh cilantro
- Diced white onion
- Sliced jalapeños
Instructions
- Brown the Meat: In a pan, brown the venison and diced onion until slightly cooked but not fully done.
- Combine Ingredients: Transfer the meat to a crockpot and add all other ingredients.
- Cook: Set the crockpot to low and let cook for 5-6 hours.
- Serve: Top with your desired toppings and enjoy!
